Death & Taxes

Verse 1:
I take a financial beatin'
each year I step into the ring
seems like filling out that 1040
man just ain't my thing

Always making mistakes
got the IRS on my back
they tell me all my deductions
are totally wack

I rule the streets
I'm the king of my castle
but when April 15th comes along
I just don't need the hassle

Ain't got time to waste
pushing paper for the man
I'm a soldier in a war
without a battle plan

To win this game
it's all about money and power
the clock of my life ticks away
heading for that final hour

As the body count rises
my crew never rests or relaxes
'cause we know nothing's for certain
except for death and taxes

do what it takes to get by
life can slip through your fingers
in the blink of an eye

So to hell with the IRS
don't mess with this original G
you'll need to stand in line
if you wanna piece of me

Verse 2:
The 1040-EZ, 1099 and W-2
all created in a way
so with your mind they will screw

But then I found me a program
that can handle all of that
let my computer do the work
and keep my wallet fat

Might even get a refund check
so I can buy some bling
now that TurboTax is doin'
all my electronic filing

So when the bullets start to fly
and blood begins to flow
I'll feel safe knowing my finances
are in the hands of a pro

Like that rapper Vanilla Ice
and his life so surreal
I try to keep things in balance
take control of the wheel

It's just another day on the streets
as the Earth spins on its axis
knowing nothing's for certain
but death and taxes
